In a debate article published in Dagens Industri, four medtech CEOs, including Neola Medical’s CEO Hanna Sjöström, together with a professor at Lund University and senior clinician at Skåne University Hospital, highlight how the EU MDR framework is slowing innovation and driving investment away from Europe.
As MDR is currently under review, the authors outline concrete steps to restore a more innovation-enabling regulatory pathway while maintaining high standards of patient safety.
